What is fogging? How does fogging work against pest insects?
Fogging is a type of pest treatment that involves the application of an anti-pest product with a special machine simply referred to as a ULV fogger. The machine is used to spread ultra-low volume of the chosen anti-pest agent at targeted areas. Some foggers use hot vapour in order to keep the insecticide airborne for longer. The created fog carries the insecticide, and it will effectively eliminate the flying insects that have infested the area. This method is perfectly safe for the inhabitants of the property and it is a great solution for indoor areas that have been infested by flying bugs such as moths, flies, flying ants, wasps, etc.
Keep in mind that depending on the infestation and its severity, the pest expert will choose the most appropriate treatment on-site. Taking into account the circumstances, he might estimate that a fumigation service would be more suitable for your property.

What to expect from your fogging service
You can easily make an appointment online using our website. You can see the availability of this service and pick a date and time that work best for you. We realise that this is an emergency and we might be able to arrange a same-day service in case we have an available technician in your area.
When the time for your service comes, a fully equipped pest controller will come to your address. Please make sure that he will be provided with access to the infested area. The exterminator will handle the rest afterwards. The technician will determine the scope of the infestation and the best course of action. He will use the mosquito fogger to spread the insecticide evenly and eliminate the bugs that have been bugging you. Please leave the premise as the treatment takes place. When you come back, leave a window open to air out the room. Also, do not clean the treated areas for at least a few days. Don’t worry about insecticide residue, the fogging treatment does not leave any oily marks.
How to prepare your property for an insect fogging service?
You should hoover and clean the affected areas. Also, you can open a window and hope that most or at least some of the bugs will fly away. This might be helpful if you live on one of the higher storeys of the building.
However, if you live closer to the ground level then it would be best to keep the windows shut as more insects might fly in. Make sure to remove any pet animals from the area, even fish. Other than that, you can shut the door of the affected room so as to limit the spreading of the bugs.
